It also happens to be the region's largest employer of 6,119 permanent and full-time employees. Also in the area is Tallahassee Community College which serves Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties. It has a rolling student body of 17,669 annually.


Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Inc. is the second-largest employer in the immediate area with over 3,190 permanent, full-time employees. Tallahassee, as the capital of the State of Florida, also serves as the seat of the body politic for the state and the region is densely-populated with government agencies and lobbyist headquarters, and as such, downtown Tallahassee is a beautiful metropolitan environment designed to impress foreign visitors and be a vibrant and bustling city.
